Preparation: What Should I Bring or Wear?

  • Dress in layers to accommodate BC’s changing coastal weather. A waterproof jacket, comfortable pants, and warm layers underneath are recommended.

  • Non-slip, closed-toe shoes are mandatory for safety on board.

  • Sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle are recommended for comfort and protection.

  • Yes, you’ll need a valid BC Tidal Waters Fishing License, which can be purchased online at the link below. Don’t forget to purchase the Salmon Stamp on your license:

  • We provide light refreshments, but feel free to bring your own snacks or non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Absolutely! Bring your camera, or you can purchase GoPro and drone footage of your trip from us.

  • Alcohol is not permitted on board for safety reasons. We want everyone to enjoy the trip responsibly.

Requirements: Age, Health, & Fitness

  • Children are welcome! We recommend ages 5 and up for full-day charters.

  • Guests should be able to stand and balance on a moving boat, as well as manage basic mobility, such as climbing on/off the dock and boat.

  • Yes, please inform us in advance of any health conditions, injuries, or mobility limitations, so we can accommodate you safely.

  • Pregnant guests are welcome but should consult with their physician before booking.

Meeting Point & Arrival

  • Our dock is located at the Port Edward Municipal boat launch:

    You can unload your gear at the boat launch then move to the free parking area available approximately 100 meters south of the boat launch entrance.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure a smooth boarding process

  • Yes, free parking is available near the dock.

  • Custom pickup arrangements are available for groups staying at select local accommodations. Feel free to ask!

Weather Policy

  • Safety is our priority! If weather conditions are unsafe (e.g., high winds, rough seas, or heavy rain), your trip will be rescheduled at no extra cost. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we’ll issue a full refund.

Fishing Experience & Services

  • Depending on the season and tour type, you may catch salmon, halibut, lingcod, rockfish, or Dungeness crab.

  • Not at all! We welcome anglers of all experience levels. Our guides will provide all the guidance you need.

  • We clean and fillet your catch onboard. For additional services like vacuum sealing and shipping, we can recommend local businesses in Prince Rupert, BC.

  • Yes! All tours can be booked as private charters for families, groups, or special events.

Other

  • Not typically, but if you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking non-drowsy medication 30 minutes before your trip. Also, if you have a shellfish allergy, please advise us prior to the charter, and make sure you have any medication you may require prior to boarding.

  • There is an RV style toilet available with a privacy curtain. Our local boat launch also has portable washrooms for guest use.
